Orkney Cruise Services
In Autumn 2006 we teamed up with partners in Orkney to create Orkney Cruise Services making us the only locally-based operation for handling cruise ships in Orkney.  Our local contacts, operational experience and expertise are second to none and enable us to confidently assure you and your guests of the best possible experience of Orkney.  We look forward to welcoming you!

Kirkwall

Kirkwall; the port for the Orkney Islands beyond the Northern tip of Scotland. The outstanding prehistoric sites on the island including 5,000 year old Skara Brae and the Standing Stones of Stenness, make a visit to the Orkneys very special indeed. The islands have a colourful history right through to the 20th Century when they played a critical strategic role in the first and second world wars, with the scuttling of ships in Scapa Flow and the Italian Chapel built by prisoners of war. These remote islands are a popular haunt for world class craftsmen – don’t leave without a special purchase or two!

Some other tour options include:

Balfour Castle

Take a ferry of tender across to the Island of Shapinsay for a tour of Balfour Castle, hosted by the owners – the Zawadski family. The castle enjoys a lovely walled garden and a collection of artefacts acquired on the ‘Grand Tour’. A delicious island cream tea is included.

Highland Park Distillery

Visit the world’s most Northerly distillery for a wee dram!
Distillery and Crafts of the South Isles – A visit to craft workshops to see just some of the superb jewellery and crafts produced by the island’s artist community.
