Greenock (Glasgow)

The port of Greenock sits in the mouth of the Clyde estuary and is the access port for Glasgow – just a 45 minute drive away. It has a long history of ship building which included the QE2. Visit the vibrant and bustling Glasgow, voted European City of Culture. Home to many important art collections, most notably the Burrell Collection, Glasgow is also home to the Art Deco architectural and design works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Examples of his work are evident throughout the city.

In total contrast to the city, the area also offers outstanding natural beauty. Head North to the infamous Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond for a real taste of Scotland’s stunning countryside.

Some other tour options include:

Glengoyne Distillery

No visit to Scotland is complete without a wee dram! Glengoyne is the perfect place to learn the process of making Scottish Whisky and to taste this national drink.

Stirling Castle & the Trossachs

A full day tour that visits the impressive Stirling Castle that sits atop a lofty crag, via Loch Lomond and the scenic hill region of the Trossachs.

House for an Art Lover

For lovers of Mackintosh, art and design, this tour takes us to the Western outskirts of the city of Glasgow to the ‘House for an Art Lover’ – an impressive recreation from the blueprint of a Mackintosh design. The house is a celebration of Mackintosh and makes for an excellent half day tour.
